Florida House Majority Leader Dane Eagle (R), currently running a campaign to replace Florida Rep. Francis Rooney (R), has just been endorsed by the Associate Builders and Contractors.
In a statement, Eagle thanked the association, commenting that “construction is a key pillar to South Florida’s economy.”
He added that “the hard-working men and women in the construction industry will be instrumental as we look to rebuild our economy in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic,” noting that he is “honored to have their endorsement in” the “race for Congress.”
“Their support underscores the importance of electing someone with a track record of legislative success in helping the private sector create jobs and grow our economy,” he concluded.
Explaining the reason behind Eagle’s endorsement for Florida’s 19th congressional seat, Steve Cona, the President and CEO of Florida Gulf Coast Associated Builders and Contractors, commented that the association knows “that Dane has a full appreciation of what our industry means to Florida and to the Nation.”
The endorsement comes as numerous public figures and organizations have endorsed the Florida lawmaker, which only propels him to the forefront of what is a crowded race for the Republican nomination.
