Brian Mast: Many U.S. military "deaths paid for by Obama"

Share

Rep. Brian Mast (R) has taken exception with fellow Floridian Rep. Val Demings’ claim that President Barack Obama handed $1.7 billion in cash to Iran that went to  fund terrorists and made the U.S. “less safe in the situation today.”

Rep. Demings told The Floridian that “What President Obama did has nothing to do, moving forward, with keeping us safe.”

“We are und threat right now, said Demings “What President Obama did has nothing to do, moving forward, with keeping us safe. When we pulled out of the Iranian deal, it appears to me we had no plan for any reactions that Iran would have after pulling out of that deal. And so what President Obama did not make us safer or less safe in this situation today.”

Rep. Mast, who lost both his legs and a digit while serving in Afghanistan when he stepped on an IED, quipped that what Obama did in sending the cash to Iran was the equivalent of “the Emperor of Japan” doing the same during WWII.

Mast told the Floridian that there are many Americans military personnel “who’s death was paid for by Obama.”

“Obama gave billions to a terror state who was actively attacking our troops in our theaters of war,” stated Mast. “It would be like sending a pallet of cash to the emperor of Japan in the middle of WWII… What I know for a fact is that there are names on the wall, just down from us here in Rayburn or all our fallen from the war on terror, names of people who’s death was paid for by Obama.”

Iran’s Quds Force, which was lead by Soleimani,  is largely held responsible for the high-tech IED’s and EFP that have been used against U.S. forces in Iraq and Afghanistan since as early as 2004.
