As more and more Democratic members of the U.S. House of Representatives lend their names in support of President Donald Trump’s USMCA trade deal, the president has openly called on Speaker Nancy Pelosi to put the measure up for a floor vote in the House.

In an Oval Office press conference with reporters, Trump blamed the stalled bill squarely on Pelosi’s shoulders, saying” It’s sitting on Nancy Pelosi’s desk. She’s incapable of moving it. Everyone knows it’s a great deal, she knows it’s a great deal. She said it.”

Trump also said that because the deal was so “great,”  that “most” House Democrats were going to vote for it.

“She doesn’t want to do it because a couple of the unions –AFL_CIO,” said Trump “They are asking her to hold it for a while…Nancy Pelosi should put it up for a vote.”

Trump then warned that if Pelosi doesn’t act fast, trade partners Mexico and Canada Pretty will begin to question why the deal they agreed on is being held up.

Rep. Stephanie Murphy is one of many Democratic lawmakers that support Trump’s new trade deal.

Rep. Murphy’s support for the trade deal continued, as the Orlando-area congresswoman said that “while well-negotiated trade agreements can improve our economy and security, I also know poorly-negotiated trade pacts can hurt America’s workers and make it harder to maintain broad-based support for the concept of freer and fairer trade.”
