This week, the Ukrainian controversy took a turn as it was announced that the whistleblower would be issued a subpoena.
Rep. Jim Jordan, the highest-ranking GOP members of the House Oversight Committee, declared that Republicans intended to subpoena the whistleblower for questioning.
Moreover, lawmakers have kept quiet since the announcement was made, but Florida has been the first to declare its support from the House.
Rep. Brian Mast (R) spoke to the Floridian Press about the issue.
When asked if he supported a subpoena for the whistleblower, Mast asserted that he not only supported it but also believed that former Vice President Joe Biden and his son Hunter Biden should also be subpoenaed for questioning.
Since the impeachment inquiry began against President Trump, the Bidens have been embroiled in controversy because of Hunter Biden’s involvement with being on the board of Burisma, a Ukrainian energy company, while Vice President Biden was in office.
Meanwhile, a key witness in the impeachment inquiry, a former Obama-era bureaucrat, was caught lying under oath during her testimony.
