Before President Donald Trump took the stage at his  BB&T center rally in Sunrise, Florida, Florida Democrats were out in force to protest the president’s “homecoming” event.

Florida Democratic Party Chairwoman Terry Rizzo, State Senator Gary Farmer, and U.S. Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz addressed the two hundred or so like-minded Democrats and spoke of the president’s illicit presidency and impeachable offenses.

“We are going to send a message to Florida’s new fake resident,” stated Rep. Wasserman Schultz  “We are familiar in Florida with people who try to scam residency in our state. The President is good at scams”

Rep. Wasserman Schultz, who without question is one of Trump’s most ardent detractors, continue to lay it on thick, saying that Trump “abused his power and essentially turned the white house into a corrupt den that is designed to take care of him and line his and his family’s pockets.”

A string of recent polls conducted of Independent voters shows weakening support for the House impeachment inquiry Wasserman Schultz is supporting.

When asked what she thought of recent polls that showed Trump winning battleground states if the election was held today, Wasserman dismissed these early polls as being irrelevant so early on in the presidential contest.

“I don’t know what you could base that on when we don’t have a Democratic nominee,” said Wasserman Schultz “In my experience having chaired my party for almost 6 years, polling around now doesn’t mean very much.”

“Donald Trump may have called it a homecoming rally, but the truth is it’s a retirement party," stated Terrie Rizzo
