Even though House Democrats, namely Rep. Adam Schiff, struggled to make a clear and definitive case for impeachment against President Donald Trump during the recent House Intelligence Committee impeachment inquiry hearings, Schiff says he will continue investigating the president even after his committee turns in their final report.
Schiff told CNN’s “State of the Union” Jake Tapper that he would press on with his investigation.
"We're going to continue our investigation,” said Schiff “We're going to continue to pursue the documents."
When Tapper asked specifically if he would continue the investigation even after he turns in his report, Schiff stated:
"Yes. Oh, yes," Schiff said. "The investigation isn't going to end."
Americans have grown weary of the impeachment inquiry and the public opinion polls are reflecting a distaste for the process that appears to be slanted against the administration.
The three latest polls conducted of Independent voters find that the majority of this coveted voting bloc opposes impeachment.
