When the Socialist President from Bolivia, Evo Morales, was forced to resign after he was reelected under questionable circumstances, both American and pro-Democracy Latin American legislators welcomed Morales resignation as a win for free and fair elections in that country, and hopefully the end of Socialism.
American socialist Democrats like Alexandria Ocasio- Cortez (D), who has expressed her support for Venezuela's Dictator Nicolas Maduro, took issue with Morales' resignation, calling it "a coup" and a "violent" seizure of power in Bolivia.
Rep. Ocasio-Cortez's denouncing of "the coup" was backed by fellow "Squad" members Reps. Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib, and their 2020 presidential choice, Sen. Bernie Sanders.
"I am very concerned about what appears to be a coup in Bolivia, where the military, after weeks of political unrest, intervened to remove President Evo Morales," stated Sanders " The U.S. must call for an end to violence and support Bolivia’s democratic institutions."
Not all of the perceived Socialist progressives in the Congress support Evo Morales.
Florida Rep. Debbie Mucarsel-Powell (D), a member of the House Progressive Caucus, supports Morales' ouster, pointed at "clear manipulation of the elections in Bolivia."
Florida's Republican Senators Marco Rubio and Rick Scott, both welcomed Morales resignation, with Rubio stating that "Morales was illegitimately holding on to power."
“The resignation of Evo Morales is a testament to the strength and the will of the Bolivian people," stated Rubio "As I stated earlier this month, Morales was illegitimately holding on to power in Bolivia after the recent presidential elections."

Coca leaves are used to make cocaine, and if those leaves were to be legalized, drug dealers would see their profits more than double because of the accessibility of the leaves.
The bipartisan, bicameral bill would secure the U.S. coastal borders, including Florida's, from drug and…
