Federal Court favors Wasserman Schultz in "corrupt nightmare" case

Share

It appears as if the bottom has fallen out from under the criminal complaint made against Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D) Progressives and Sen. Bernie Sanders supporters have made about the former DNC chair.

The 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals has set aside a lawsuit filed by Bernie Sanders supporters and some Democratic Party activists and donors that accuses Rep. Wasserman Schultz of committing any crime in connection to the 2016 Democratic presidential primary race.

The anti-Wasserman Schultz lobby contends that the popular congresswoman from Weston, Florida ‘rigged’ the primary process in favor of Secretary Hillary Clinton over Sanders, but the courts have now found otherwise.

“We are mindful that there are deep disagreements within [and outside] the Democratic Party about the DNC’s alleged conduct during the 2016 primaries,” said the 29-page ruling, written by Judge Adalberto Jordan and joined by Judge Britt Grant and Senior Judge Frank Hull. “But federal courts can only adjudicate cognizable claims, and the complaint here fails on a number of jurisdictional and substantive grounds.”

But the court ruling is not deterring Wasserman Schultz’s Democratic primary opponents from pushing the corruption narrative against her.

College professor Tim Canova has been relentless in his efforts to “expose” Wasserman Schultz's transgression, putting them front-and-center on his Twitter handle.

Now Canova has another partner in crime to help with the heavy lift of pushing out ‘DWS.’

Shortly after the court ruling was announced, Attorney Jen Perelman stated that the Fort Lauderdale-based Sun-Sentinel newspaper was protecting “DWS from her clear improprieties” and asked supporters to donate to her campaign so that “this corrupt nightmare can finally end.”

Wasserman Schultz will join House Democrats on Thursday to vote on the highly-anticipated impeachment inquiry.
