Ridesharing giant Lyft continues "lyfting" Miamians

Is ride-sharing Lyft giant looking for a Nobel Peace Prize for being all-around nice people?

Well, probably not, but the company is once again making the case for their philanthropy in Miami.

In June, Lyft announced that it was giving back by partnering up with Miami-area businesses implement and push their “Grocery Access Program,” an initiative that helps residents living in “food deserts” or areas that do not have a grocery store for one mile, get to a grocery store.

Now Lyft is announcing that it has opened its first Driver Hub in Florida to help out its drivers, the same drivers that are tasked to help with the “Grocery Access Program.”

“Our drivers are the very foundation of our operation. This new center will be an invaluable tool as we work to provide drivers with all of the resources they need to meet, and exceed their own expectations, as well as those of their riders,” said Ariel Meyer, Florida Regional Director of Lyft. “Our drivers’ feedback is incredibly important, and it is thanks to their input that we saw just how critical in-person, bilingual assistance really is. We look forward to seeing how the fleet embraces this new resource and working with them to further refine its offerings.” 

The Lyft Hub Miami is located at 4201 NW 2nd Ave, Miami, FL 33172, and available to all drivers.
