Mast says 2020 Democrats "laundering" PAC money

Share

Florida Congressman Brian Mast (R) is calling the 2020 Democratic presidential candidates ‘liars’ for saying that claiming no to accept corporate PAC money.

Mast’s congressional reelection campaign is saying that Democratic presidential hopefuls are “laundering” corporate PAC through the Democratic National Committee (DNC), instead of taking the money directly into their campaign coiffures.

Mast’s claim is based on the recent report that the DNC “took in” corporate PAC donations in excess of $155,000 in July.

“This was immediately ahead of their big August meeting that 2020 candidates will attend to schmooze with these big donors,” said Mast’s campaign “They’ll spend every penny of it to support whoever is the Democrat nominee for president and oppose strong conservative candidates like Brian.

This is the same “corporate PAC money” that Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders and others have sworn not to accept in their run to be the Democrat Presidential nominee.  And it’s a deliberate attempt to circumvent accountability and transparency to the American people.”

The Mast campaign made the claim via an online email fundraising ask.
