The Democratic-controlled U.S. House of Representatives has passed H.R. 2740, a wide-ranging appropriations funding bill to fund the federal government, and special interests like Planned Parenthood.
The 226-203 vote came down along political party lines, as Republicans scoffed at the billions of dollars that exceeded existing spending caps, not to mention the $1 trillion in “discretionary spending” language that was inserted into the bill.
Florida's entire Republican Congressional House Caucus, including Rep. Ted Yoho, Matt Gaetz, Brian Mast, and Francis Rooney, all voted against the measure.

Rooney outlined some of the focal point measures that prevented him and his Republican colleagues from voting in favor of the bill because it:
The bill also repealed the 2001 Authorization for the Use of Military Force. This is the first time in 18 years that the House passed a repeal of the 2001 bill.
