Senator Marco Rubio (R) is crying tears of joy today, but it’s not because Venezuelan Dictator Nicolas Maduro blamed him for his country’s economic collapse, but because his son Anthony successfully completed a football clinic put on by the University of Florida Gators.

Papa Rubio has always dreamed of play for the Florida Gators, but was never able to reach that goal. Now the elder Rubio lives vicariously through his son Anthony, who is showing flashes of former NFL running back Barry Sanders.

Anthony Rubio, or “@AntRubio” on Twitter, tweeted this video of him emulating his father’s political “shake-and-bake” moves on the football field, when he all but-broke his defenders ankles during a drill at the Gators camp.

Here is another video of “Ant” blowing through a football obstacle course.

Was that dad screaming "Oh my God!"

Yes, Papa Rubio is conditioned and familiar with burning past a reporter’s question, but he can’t do it as fast as his son sprinting through a football drills.

Sen. Rubio is one proud papa bear.
