House Democratic infighting between leadership and the new group of ultra-Progressive members appears to continue, as Speaker Pelosi said that “a glass of water” with a “D” following it would have won a congressional district like that of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s.

“When we won this election, it wasn’t in districts like mine or Alexandria’s,” Pelosi said. “[S]he’s a wonderful member of Congress as I think all of our colleagues will attest. But those are districts that are solidly Democratic.”

In true Pelosi fashion, just saying it wasn’t enough, when there is a prop of some sort close by. Pelosi reached for and picked up a glass of water that was poured for her during an appearance in London, saying “This glass of water would win with a ‘D’ next to its name in those districts.”

Ocasio-Cortez has yet to post some kind of response to Pelosi on her social media network.
