Mueller Report Submitted - No Russia Collusion

Share

Two years in the making, all eyes were glued to the television to see any updates on what the Mueller report had to offer. As the days drew closer, many wondered what the report would show as the narrative of the Trump campaign colluding Russia gained prominence in the media.

With the 2020 Presidential fast approaching, constituents wondered if President Trump would even be eligible to run for reelection based on the information provided by the Mueller report, but now the report is implying that it in fact corroborates with what President Trump has been saying since the beginning – no Russia collusion.

The report was delivered to Attorney General William P. Barr according to the Justice Department, and it is now reported that Attorney General Barr will gauge how much of the report he will share with Congress and the American public.

However, Barr did assert that he “remained committed to as much transparency as possible.”

This week, President Trump reignited his attacks on the special counsel, calling the report an “out of the blue” move. He argued that “there was no collusion. There was no obstruction. There was no nothing.”

It remains to be seen exactly how this will impact the upcoming Presidential election as the number of Democrats running to defeat President Trump continues to mount. Talks of impeachment were quieted after House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said that it was “just not worth it.” And, many Democrats were hoping for paramount evidence to be provided that would show that the President colluded with Russia in order to win the Presidential election. However, that doesn’t seem to be the case.

Informing on what the next step is, White House spokeswoman Sarah Sanders explained that it is “up to Attorney General Barr, and we look forward to the process taking its course. The White House has not received or been briefed on the Special Counsel’s report.”
