House Democrats begin to flex their muscles in Washington

With President Trump's personal Attorney Michael Cohen being sentence to prison for tax evasion and lying to congress, Democrats are salivating over the possibility that Cohen's follies will lead to criminal charges filed against the president.

Congressional Democrats appear to be  are gearing up for more investigations into the Trump Administration, and a possible impeachment of the 45th President of the United States.

Florida Rep. Ted Deutch (D), who continues to climb his political party's leadership ladder,  has been one of the loudest and consistent voice of opposition to Trump's presidency, calling for continued scrutiny into Trump world.

Democrats have taken control of the House of Representatives, so its expected that they begin to flex their political muscles and use their bully pulpit to push their agenda.

Democrats have already threatened, and to some degree, got their way on the 2018 Farm Bill. Democrats threatened that if the bill's wording did  not pass their sniff test, they would not support it. The Farm bill did pass, but not after Democrats got their way.

But with that said, could focusing on impeachment backfire on Democrats, if their investigate and impeach agenda stifle bipartisan effort to pass meaningful pro-American legislation?
