Hollywood actress calls for Florida "assault weapons" ban

The Parkland school shooting sparked a huge nationwide movement to ban assault weapons and started what Democrats said was a “Blue Wave” that would take back the U.S. Congress.

That movement faded in the months leading up to the 2018 general election, and once the election came to pass, Democrats failed to take back the U.S. Senate, but were able to win back the U.S. House of Representatives.

While Democrats didn’t win back the House by a large margin, a win is a win, and are now positioned to try to impeach President Trump, and move to pass legislation to ban assault weapons.

One of the most outspoken pro-gun ban advocate is Actress Alyssa Milano.

She was relentless in pushing forward the anti-gun lobby’s political agenda, and now that Democrats control the House, Milano is now maximizing her efforts to push for banning assault weapons.

Milano signed off on the latest fundraising email sent out by Ban Assault Weapons NOW, stating that if activists ban together, an assault weapons ban can be achieved “constitutionally.”

"Americans are sick and tired of being told nothing can be done to solve our country's gun violence epidemic because it's just not true. We can win this fight if we do it together – and that's why I need grassroots supporters like you standing shoulder to shoulder with us as we fight to take on the NRA, constitutionally ban assault weapons in Florida and save the lives of our loved ones."-Alyssa Milano
