The final 2018 mid-term election poll is in, and it may confirm what some Democrats and many Republicans have been saying: Republicans will win the gubernatorial and senate races in Florida.
All the recent public opinion polls have both these races in a dead heat, so the latest Trafalgar Group poll of 1,484 likely voters have Rick Scott beating nelson by 42.8% to 40.8%.
The poll, which has a margin of error of +/-2.5, shows Republican Ron DeSantis beating out Democrat Andrew Gillum by a margin of 50% to 46.6%.
Of those polled, 40.1% were Republican, and 40.0% were Democrats, with another 19.9% being registered Independent.
Polls close in Florida at 7pm.
