Governor-elect DeSantis measures his new office drapes

While election officials scramble to complete the final vote recount in Florida’s 2018 mid-term elections, Governor-elect Ron DeSantis appears to be shrugging off the very slim chance that he could eventually lose his race in a recount.

Because DeSantis beat Andrew Gillum by a significantly number of votes on election day, he should be fine after the final recount is tallied.

The governor’s race is all-but over for him, but Gillum has pulled back his concession and is waiting for the last vote to be recounted.

The U.S. Senate race between Sen. Bill Nelson and Rick Scott, is a whole other story. Rick Scott, who has already declared victory, has seen his vote lead diminished to 12,5000 from 54,000 on election night.

He and other Republicans like Sen. Marco Rubio have been crying foul over the tens of thousands of votes that appear to have popped out of nowhere days after election night.

While Scott and Republicans wage a legal battle against Broward and Palm Beach Counties Supervisor of Elections, DeSantis and his Lt.Gov. Jeanette Nunez were taking in the state capital this week.

In other words, DeSantis was measuring the drapes for his new gig.

Meanwhile in Broward County, the official recount is underway, but a manual recount of ballots cast is expected to commence shortly after the machine count is finished.
