As we reported a couple days ago, Florida Governor Rick Scott will stop campaigning for the U.S. and of his efforts to help hurricane-ravaged North Florida recover.
Ann Scott, his wife, who will take over senatorial campaign duties, and has already adopted Scott’s “Let’s Get to Work” slogan as she announces that she will be hitting campaign trail.
Scott has also countered Senator Bill Nelson’s ‘mudslinging’ attacks by blunting them with an ad featuring his (6) grandsons.
Yes, Rick Scott is grandpa to six boys.
To add insult to injury, Scott tweeted and video of Democratic Rep. Al Lawson praising the governor's hurricane relief efforts.
Hurricane Michael has claimed 21 lives and caused billions of dollars property damage. The storm may have also caused unsustainable and catastrophic damage to Senator Nelson’s re-election campaign.
This could be the October surprise Nelson will never forget.
Recent polls showed Nelson with a slight lead over Scott, but well within the margin of error. Now with all the hurricane recovery news focusing on Scott could, and probably will, put Scott over the top as voters continue to send in the absentee ballots, and head to the polls in less than two weeks.
