Democratic backlash against the Kavanaugh confirmation continues as Florida Rep. Ted Deutch continues his open opposition to the Trump's pick to the Supreme Court.
On Oct. 5, the day before the Senate vote to confirmed him, Rep. Ted Deutch (D) called Kavanaugh a "jerk" over his apology about his "tone" during the Ford sexual assault accusation hearing.
“I might have been too emotional at times. I know that my tone was sharp, and I said a few things I should not have said.” Most people who feel compelled to submit an apology for being a jerk in the interview don’t end up getting the job."- Rep. Ted Deutch (D)
Deutch's fellow Democrat Rep. Lois Frankel (D) has already called the recent FBI investigation as being "phony."
Kavanaugh was confirmed by a 50-48 vote margin, and later sworn in to the SCOTUS.
