With President Trump pushing back against the new death toll numbers being reported out of Puerto Rico as the result of Hurricane Maria, one would think that every one of his friends and supporters would fall in line with his opposition, right?
This apparently is not the case with Florida Governor Rick Scott (R), who is challenging Sen. Bill Nelson (D) in this year's mid-term elections, and does not agree with his friend the president.
Scott tweeted that he disagreed with Trump, stating that the "independent study" was accurate.
I disagree with @POTUS– an independent study said thousands were lost and Gov. Rosselló agreed. I've been to Puerto Rico 7 times & saw devastation firsthand. The loss of any life is tragic; the extent of lives lost as a result of Maria is heart wrenching. I'll continue to help PR
