Florida's governor's race will boil down to ideology

Share

Global philanthropist George Soros makes no bones about wanting to change the American political landscape with every stroke of his pen.

For years, Soros has dumped campaign money behind perceived socialist-minded candidates like President Barack Obama, Sen. Bernie Sanders, and now Florida Democratic gubernatorial candidate Andrew Gillum.

Gillum has fully embraced George Soros and his money, as well as his political ideology.

Many will see the 2018 gubernatorial sweepstakes between Andrew Gillum and Ron DeSantis as a fight between Republican and Democrat.

Yes, DeSantis is a Republican, and Gillum is a Democrat, but the race to replace Gov Rick Scott could very well go down as one of the greatest ideological slugfests of all time.

“I’m deeply appreciative of George Soros as well as Tom Steyer, men who I’ve known for some time.” -Andrew Gillum

Make no mistake about it. This race will be a Conservative vs. Liberal cage match.

Conservative groups, political pundits, and activists are rallying behind DeSantis, while Soros, Tom Steyer, and liberal and American socialists are firmly supporting Gillum.

Gillum is quick to slam DeSantis over his support of President Donald Trump, and DeSantis is already bashing Gillum over his close relationship and support from George Soros.

There haven’t been any real polls conducted to help gauge the DeSantis-Gillum race, but Republicans believe DeSantis could hold an advantage due to the current and positive economic state Florida finds itself in.

Money matters, and Florida is flush with it because of what Rick Scott has done since being elected in 2010.

Democrats will tell you that Gillum could have the advantage because of the ongoing Mueller investigation that looks to implicate President Trump, who has also endorsed DeSantis.

So, who will be Florida’s next governor?

Will it be a proven Conservative Republican, or will it be a proven Liberal Democrat?

Here is what DeSantis recently tweeted:
