Polk Sheriff Endorses Adam Putnam

Florida Agriculture Commissioner Adam Putnam has faced a tough few days in his bid to replace term-limited Florida Governor Rick Scott, but it doesn’t seem to be detracting from his goal.

Not only did a new Republican poll conducted by Cherry Communications show that he beats his opponent Ron DeSantis 32 to 15 out of 501 Republican likely voters, but the Commissioner has also gained the support of Polk Sheriff Grady Judd.

In a 30-second advertisement released by the Sheriff titled “Enforce the Law” and tackling the issue of illegal immigration, Sheriff Judd argues that “Adam believes we have the responsibility to keep our borders, cities and neighborhoods safe and secure. He’ll make sure that illegal immigrants who commit crimes will be held accountable and deported — not released back into our communities.”

He also closes the advertisement by saying that “Adam Putnam will stand with law enforcement and enforce the rule of law.”

In addition, the poll conducted showed that Putnam wins all major media markets except for the Miami market. Statewide, he wins among all age groups.

Marian Johnson, the Senior Vice President of the Florida Chamber Political Operation, commented that “In our fight to secure Florida’s future, our team is constantly checking the pulse of voter attitudes toward candidates and issues, analyzing data for trends, and researching how to help ensure the right things happen in Florida.”
