After pushing for comprehensive gun control, Rep. Val Demings (D) appeared to have taken a step back from the "gun violence" rhetoric that many Democrats have been expressing during a gun violence town hall meeting. Since the Parkland school shooting, Demings along with many of her Democratic colleagues in the U.S. Congress have been calling for a ban on assault weapons, but now the freshman congresswoman from Orlando is saying that she doesn't "have al' the answers to #gunviolence," and that she needs the help of her constituents to help here "figure it out."

Democratic lawmakers have pushed the ban weapons agenda as quick fix to the "gun violence" problem in the U.S., but could Demings step back be the beginning of a pull back on the issue?
