Republican congressman makes good on Peach Bowl wager

It’s always nice to see Republican and Democratic members of congress mucking it up and working together, regardless of the issue.

While most members of the House will not admit to being gamblers, Rep. Stephanie Murphy (D) and Rep. Mike Rogers (R) made a friendly wager before their respective hometown college teams squared off in the 2018 Peach Bowl.

Murphy’s University of Central Florida (UCF) Knights, arguably the best team in the nation, defeated Roger’s Auburn University Tiger.

Because his Tigers lost, Rogers must now make good on his bet and deliver a bucket of oranges, not to mention having to eat a healthy serving of crow, to Murphy’s congressional office.

Now, if only Murphy and Rogers can sit down and work together along with the rest of the House to move America forward.

Anyone want to take a bet that congress will come together in 2018?

Yeah, I didn’t think so.
