When Sen. Jeff Clemens (D) resigned after admitting to having an extramarital affair with a lobbyist in October of 2017, a void in the Florida Senate occurred, and the position needed to be filled.
State Rep. Lori Berman and Arthur Morrison decided to run for the seat, but in the end, the veteran lawmaker from Lantana, Florida easily prevailed with 95 to 5 percent vote total.
The stage is now set for a special election showdown between Berman and Palm Beach County GOP Vice Chairwoman Tami Donnally (pictured below) on April 10
The district may lean Democrat, but in special election, and this being the era of Trump, all bets could be off this mid-term election.
