During a Fox News appearance Sunday, Florida Republican Party Chairman Evan Power made it clear that Florida is red and will remain red after the midterms, as voting polls are set to open in less than a month.

"We have very strong candidates in Byron Donalds and Ashley Moody," he said in the interview. "David Jolly wants to undo and apologize for the state of Florida... and Angie Nixon is a Democratic Socialist of America, and I just don't see those selling in Florida."
Both Republican candidates have major fundraising advantages in their respective races, with Representative Donalds (FL-19) raising over $130 million compared to Jolly's $16 million.
The Republicans also have the registration advantage, with just over 1.5 million voters more than the Democrats. The registration deadline for the midterm elections was Monday, so those numbers are unlikely to change significantly before voters head to the polls.
"We're going to turn out those voters," Power said on Fox News. "We're going to put the action and energy into turning out every single voter."
He added the biggest fear in midterm elections when the Republicans hold the majority and are coming off an eight-year hold on the governorship is complacency. The GOP is combating that with grassroots campaigns, Power said.
"We need to keep Florida free and keep moving it forward," Power said. "Well, you look at Florida, we've become the conservative beacon of freedom. People have been traveling to Florida, moving to Florida. That's why we've become so strong. And so if they advocate and say, we want the Florida model, I want to continue to advocate for what we've done here in Florida, that inspires voters and gets them to turn out. So I think that's what the message they have to deliver is we need to keep Florida free and keep moving it forward."
