Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier spotlighted his record arresting child predators, cracking down on human trafficking and drug cartels, rescuing missing children, and taking on big tech in a new campaign ad posted on social media this week.
The 30-second ad backdrops Attorney General Uthmeier's role being a dad in protecting Florida families.
"I'm Attorney General James Uthmeier, Florida's chief law enforcement officer, but a dad first. That's why we've arrested over 2,000 child predators, taken down more human traffickers and drug cartels than ever, rescued over 400 missing children, and sued big tech for endangering our kids," Uthmeier says.
Attorney General Uthmeier also emphasized Florida's historic low crime rate from his work.
"I will always fight to get dangerous criminals off the streets and protect our families. It's not politics, it's the job," Uthmeier concludes.
Seeking a full term, Uthmeier released another ad spotlighting support from several Florida sheriffs earlier this month. The endorsements included Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey, Seminole County Sheriff Dennis Lemma, Miami-Dade County Sheriff Rosie Cordero-Stutz, Marion County Sheriff Billy Woods, Duval County Sheriff T.K. Waters, Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd, and Pinellas County Sheriff Bob Gualtieri.
Uthmeier has been Florida's attorney general since being appointed by Gov. DeSantis in February 2025. He has also received support from President Donald Trump, Gov. Ron DeSantis, and the Republican Party of Florida.
The 38-year-old previously served as chief of staff for Gov. Ron DeSantis from 2021 to 2025.
Uthmeier is competing against Democratic candidate Jose Javier Rodriguez for Florida attorney general. Rodriguez most recently served as Assistant Secretary of Labor for Employment in the Biden administration from 2024-2025.
The general election is Nov. 3.
