Hours before the long-anticipated vote to impeach President Donald Trump, the president’s eldest son Eric held a conference call with reporters to update then on the campaign, the rally in Battle Creek, MI, and impeachment, of course.
President Trump likes to call out Democrats by name, so we asked Eric Trump if he would like to see his father target House Democrats in Florida who are in congressional seats deemed “vulnerable.”
We specifically mentioned Reps. Debbie Mucarsel-Powell, Charlie Crist, and Val Demings, all who hold seats that could go either way next November.
Except for Rep. Crist, Reps. Demings and Mucarsel-Powell who sit on House Judiciary Committee, have been unapologetic supporters of impeachment since Day 1.
Trump said that Florida was a state that they did “very well in” and “clearly a very important state” come 2020.
“People are going to have to be held accountable to that (impeachment), and you better believe my father will be campaigning a tremendous amount in Florida, as will I, as will Don,” said Trump
Trump added, “those people will certainly be held to task for that.”
Team Trump is already anchored in Broward County, so it is reasonable to assume that Trump could stump in Mucarsel-Powell’s congressional district, seeing that it is one of the seats national Republicans are looking to win back.
The Trumps will be spending the Christmas break in Palm Beach at Mar-A-Lago.
