Florida Congressman Greg Steube (R) is calling for an investigation into crime allegations made against former President Joe Biden and the Biden family. The Florida Republican raised concerns in a letter to U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi and FBI Director Kash Patel.
“The American people deserve to know the truth about the Biden crime family and the weaponization of the intelligence community,” Steube wrote. “That is why I joined my colleagues in sending a letter to [Pam Bondi] and [Kash Patel] calling for an investigation into allegations that then-VP Joe Biden tried to bury a 2015 intel report into his family’s shady business dealings.”
The letter, signed by various Republican members of Congress, cites declassified documents pertaining to then-Vice President Joe Biden’s visit to Ukraine in 2015, noting concerns regarding Biden’s family ties within the country.
“CIA sources within the Ukrainian government highlighted they held strong concerns regarding the Vice President’s corrupt family ties within the country,” the letter reads. “Biden and his National Security Advisor, Colin Kahl, asked the Intelligence Community (IC) not to disseminate the intelligence report, displaying yet another example of how Democrats have blatantly weaponized and tarnished the integrity of the IC to further partisan ends.”
The letter asserts that Biden and Kahl halted IC proceedings to suppress intelligence findings for personal gain.
“The evidence uncovered in the declassification of the report clearly demonstrates that Biden and Kahl knowingly and willfully disrupted routine IC practices and used their positions to suppress intelligence findings for personal gain, primarily because the report highlighted the corrupt practices of the Biden family in Ukraine,” the letter argues.
Steube believes that Democrats have been weaponizing the U.S. Government (USG) for their own personal gain, disregarding any legal proceedings and using their powers to cover up any potential evidence.
“The evidence uncovered about the weaponization of the USG under the Obama Administration aligns with a clear pattern of Democrats using the IC and administrative state to advance their own partisan agenda, shield themselves from scrutiny, and work to delegitimize their political opponents," Steube notes. "This calculated affront to the rule of law and gross misuse of our national security apparatus cannot be left unchecked.”
His letter concludes with a plea to the FBI to launch an investigation into members of the Obama Administration involved in the intelligence cover-up.
