As expected, Florida decidedly voted red, and Republican House members are celebrating their respective victories. Democratic incumbents won their reelection campaigns, but they failed to flip any districts blue. Announcing her victory on social media, Florida Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R) echoed a theme for the night, writing that her campaign "kicked butt."

Dating back to when President Joe Biden (D) was running for reelection, Democrats argued that Florida was at play. However, Democrats were unsuccessful in gaining influence in the Sunshine State, and Republicans are heading back to Congress.

On social media, Florida Rep. Cory Mills (R) celebrated his win by sharing that he will "continue fighting for funding, economic growth, and protecting our rights, always putting America, Americans, and American interests first."

Florida Rep. Byron Donalds (R) celebrated his victory on social media, writing that "our nation needs real leadership, our federal government needs reform, and the American people deserve leaders that will put them first."

As of this reporting, the Republican who has won reelection by the widest margin is Florida Rep. Gus Bilirakis (R), who won his race by 71.1% of the vote according to the Associated Press.

During an interview with Fox News, Republican National Committee Chair Michael Whatley (R) discussed tonight's election, giving insight into how Republicans are viewing the results.

"Our grassroots effort has really, truly focused on turning out low propensity voters and turning out voters that are from groups that Republicans traditionally have not hit," he explained, noting that the Party has succeeded in outreach efforts to minorities. "We're seeing very seismic moves from those different groups all across the country."

Though there was no district that flipped blue, there was a county that flipped. Miami-Dade County, which has historically been a solidly Democratic county, has shifted red in the 2024 election, voting for President Donald Trump (R).
