Over the weekend, President Donald Trump (R) held a campaign rally in Madison Square Garden. The rally hosted a number of high-profile speakers including Elon Musk, Dana White, Hulk Hogan, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. (I), and the newly christened Republican Tulsi Gabbard (R). While the rally was not without its controversy, some Republicans are calling President Trump's rally a success. Florida Rep. Byron Donalds (R) considers it a great showing, noting that President Trump made it clear he won't "leave New York Behind."
On Sunday, President Trump held a rally in Madison Square Garden, an event that boast high publicity given that that state of New York is considered a firm blue state. Regardless, thousands were in attendance to see President Trump and others speak on what President Trump believes the next four years should look like.

Rep. Donalds, during an appearance on Fox Business, discussed the rally, saying that it was a success and that the former president showed that "he can go anywhere."
In assessing the campaign cycle between President Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris (D), Rep. Donalds explained that it's "not just about where you campaign but how you campaign." Because of this, to see President Trump hold a rally in Madison Square Garden, which is in "his city," is a feat that he believes will only bolster support for the Trump-Vance ticket.
Rep. Donalds further explained that President Trump's message to the people of New York was that "he's not going to leave New York behind."
"He said last night in his speech - one of the great lines - he's willing to work with Mayor Adams and with Governor Hochul to make New York City and New York State great again," the Florida Republican commented. "That's his focus. He's campaigning to all Americans in every state not just in the battlegrounds."
"That kind of leadership is what America needs right now," he concluded.
