The contentious Republican primary race between Anthony Aguirre and Meg Weinberger in Florida's State House race in District 94 is expected to get ugly as Team Aguirre may conduct a scorched earth political campaign against Weinberger.

The Floridian has learned from a source close to Aguirre that Aguirre's consultant, Anthony Pedicini, could be planning an all-out assault against Weinberger in the coming weeks due to her scoring the coveted endorsement of former President Donald Trump.

Weinberger has also garnered the support from Reps. Brian Mast, Cory Mills, Jason Smith, Matt Gaetz, Ronny Jackson, and other federal and state lawmakers, including that of Rep. Alina Garcia.

Aguirre had the opportunity to exit the race before the qualifying period came to pass but may have been convinced to stay in the race because of the potential Armageddon-style campaign that is allegedly about to be launched against Weinberger.

Incoming Speaker of the House, Rep. Daniel Perez (R), stayed out of the contested primary race and did not want a bloodbath, but a massacre appears to be exactly what is about to happen in this race.

Call it what you want, but if Aguirre moves on Weinberger with all guns blazing, it will be tantamount to committing a political and career-ending Kamikaze attack.

Aguirre could run a respectful campaign, and if he loses, could put himself in a position to run for the Florida Legislature in 2028 and garner the support from Trump supporters that back Weinberger, and possibly Weinberger herself?

Florida's primary election is on August 20.

This story is developing...
