Florida Lottery growth continues to boom

The lottery business in Florida that fund education continues to boom, as The Lottery Revenue Estimating Conference in Tallahassee announced that its scratch-off game revenues are $50 million over their projected fiscal year 2019-2020 estimates.

According to officials, most of the Lottery’s sales growth is coming from the new $10 scratch-off ticket offered by Scientific Games, the company that develops and prints all of the scratch-off games.

As reported, the Florida Lottery in 2018 pumped in $1.7 billion in education funding with $900 million coming from instant game sales. The Conference announced that the FY 2018-2019 numbers were $1.9 billion invested in education.
