During his very first State of the Union address, President Donald Trump emphasized his ongoing efforts to all-but erase the legacy of his predecessor, President Barack Obama.

Trump has already begun his move to gut Obamacare, as his new Tax Reform law begins the dismantling process by ending the individual healthcare mandate.

Congressional Democrats, many wearing black in support of the #metoo campaign, sat on their hands when Trump rattled off many of the accomplishments that were made throughout his first year in office that promoted American veterans and minorities, just to name a couple.

This was expected, but what wasn’t expected was Trump’s announcement upon entering the Capitol, that he penned an executive order that would keep the prison on the naval base in Guantanamo Bay open for business, directing Secretary of Defense James Mattis reevaluate the U.S. detention facility system.

"We must be clear. Terrorist are not merely criminals, they are unlawful enemy combatants. And when captured oversees, they should be treated like the terrorists they are. In the past we have released hundreds, and hundreds of dangerous terrorists, only to meet them again on the battlefield."- President Trump

President Obama vowed  that he would close the prison upon taking office in 2008, but failed to do so during his two terms in office.
