Election integrity is making its way back into Florida's political public discourse.  After attacks from progressive lawmakers on DeSantis' election integrity measures, Lt. Governor Jeanette Nuñez (R-FL) is warning of the, "woke Left," in this election cycle.

The DeSantis Administration recently announced the arrests of 20 people who were committing voter fraud in the state of Florida.  These arrests are commonly attributed to the founding of the governor's new Office of Election Crimes and Security.

While State Rep. Carlos G. Smith (D-49) has been active on Twitter, calling out Republicans, like Attorney General Ashley Moody (R-FL) for rhetoric regarding, "free and fair elections," Lt. Governor Nuñez is now joining in on the action.

"This November, Floridians will decide between two very different futures for Florida: One is filled with freedom and opportunity, and one is controlled by the woke Left and their radical demands."  Jeanette Nuñez added, "The decision couldn’t be any easier. Let's Keep Florida Free."

Many Democrats seem to be countering DeSantis' "Free state of Florida," brand by labeling him as an authoritarian ruler, and calling his administration a, "Regime."  Both Rep. Carlos G. Smith and gubernatorial candidate, Commissioner Nikki Fried (D-FL) have resorted to such comparisons.

Ron DeSantis and his anti-democratic demagoguery is a danger to our state, our country, and yes, the world. Choose your own historical example if you want, but it’s the damn truth,” stated Commissioner Fried in a tweet Sunday, after comparing the governor of Florida to Adolf Hitler earlier this year.
