The controversial anti-Infanticide legislation that President Donald Trump has been pressing for, that would force healthcare practitoners to preserve the life of a baby born after a failed abortion, was voted down in the U.S. Senate as Democrats came together to vote against the measure.
All the Democratic presidential candidates, Sens. Cory Booker, Kamala Harris, Bernie Sanders, Kirsten Gillibrand, Amy Klobuchar, and Elizabeth Warren, voted against the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act.
....This will be remembered as one of the most shocking votes in the history of Congress. If there is one thing we should all agree on, it’s protecting the lives of innocent babies.

The Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act would have required that "any health care practitioner present" at the time of a birth "exercise the same degree of professional skill, care, and diligence to preserve the life and health of the child as a reasonably diligent and conscientious health care practitioner would render to any other child born alive at the same gestational age."-Fox News
By calling for a vote on the bill, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell forced Democrats to go on the record on this issue.
Republican legislators quickly called out their Democratic congressional counterparts for voting against the pro-Life legislation.
“WHAT KIND OF PEOPLE ARE WE?” asked Texas Rep. Kevin Brady (D),
Arizona’s Republican Senator Martha McSally voted in favor, as did Sen. David Perdue (R-GA) who believes “it’s unconscionable” that any health care practitioner would try to save the life of a baby upon its birth.
Democrats openly deny the concept of the sanctity of life & their actions today did just that. They've chosen to empower & embrace unhinged leftist ideals—like those of disgraced Virginia Gov Northam—which are inhumane & pro-infanticide. These ideals are heartless & unfathomable.

Florida's freshman Senator Rick Scott (R) stated that Senate Democrats are "beholden to the extremists in their party."
Tonight’s vote on the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act shows how Dems are beholden to the extremists in their party. Voting against this bill was tantamount to supporting infanticide and it’s truly sad to see from so many Senate Democrats.

The vote against the bill will surely be used against them during the 2020 presidential primary race.
