President Trump has official given (for now) the U.S. Air Force the task of overseeing the U.S. Space Command or Space Force he wants rebooted.

As you recall, back in December 2018, Trump told then Secretary of Defense James Mattis to restart the space command, a move which does not require the congressional approval.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis liked the idea so much, that he has now gone where no other Florida governor has gone before,  and has “formally” requested to the president that the “Space Force Combatant Command” set up shop in Florida.

DeSantis believes that it was “a logical fit” to anchor the command in the sunshine state.

DeSantis also announced that Lt. Governor Jeanette Nunez would chair Space Florida.

Lt. Gov. Nunez, who stated that she was honored to be appointed to the job, did not say if she or he governor were fans of Tang, or if they would be putting on a flight suit anytime soon.
