This week, Commissioner of Agriculture Nikki Fried (D-FL) appeared at what seems to be a faith-based event where she smeared Governor DeSantis (R-FL) in a pre-written speech.
Commissioner Nikki Fried has casted herself as the progressive choice for Democrats to run against incumbent Governor DeSantis this November. This has led the gubernatorial hopeful to make some drastic comparisons and commentary on Governor DeSantis, even calling the Florida Governor Adolf Hitler.
Most recently, Fried delivered remarks on how her job as governor will look contrasted with the current administration, where she appeared to not mention her intentions in the governor's office at all.
With a note sheet of paper in her lap, Fried said, "I am not going to Tallahassee to penalize people. I'm going to go to Tallahassee to problem solve. I'm not going to go to Tallahassee to beat people up. I'm going to go to Tallahassee to build people up."
"My name is Nikki Fried. I am running for governor of our state; to be the first female governor of our state. And I promise that when I get there, cause we're going to do this. That when I get there, we are going to unite our state. We're going to stop the divisiveness. We're going to stop the hatred. We're going to stop the nonsense that we're seeing. Finally bring people together, lift people up and finally give people something to be proud of in our state because I love our state born and raised here, and I know all of you do too. I want to stop being a joke across the country. I want to make sure that we're doing good for the people of our state."

Although Fried makes it abundantly clear that she is not pleased with the status quo, many Twitter users and Floridians seemed to wonder what she was describing actually was, and what she meant by any of the promises she made.
