Florida's congressional Democrats and Republicans may not agree on many issues these days, but when it comes to rooting for their college football alma mater, they are in lockstep.
Sen. Marco Rubio's obsession for his Florida Gators and always-disappointing Miami Dolphins is legendary, but other members of congress appear to be just as fanatical as Rubio over the Gators.
Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D) never passes up an opportunity to "Gator Chomp" whenever her reptiles win a collegiate sports contest. Wasserman Schultz's colleague Rep. Ted Deutch (D) is also a big fan, but his enthusiasm for the college is overshadowed by Wasserman Schultz's and Rubio's constant praise of the sports team.
Now, if we could just get them to give Americans a bipartisan border security chomp...Don't hold your breath.
