Politics is full of ups and downs, funny moments and not-so-funny moments, and your occasional kumbaya moment between opposing view points.
These moments are not always shared between opposing elected officials, but between media types, political hacks, and those very same elected officials.
A year ago, Florida Congressman Matt Gaetz (R) appeared on MSNBC’s “All In With Chris Hayes” to talk about President Trump’s tax cut and jobs increasing proposals.
Sounding a bit doubtful the tax and wage increase agenda Trump and Gaetz were supporting would pass, Hayes told Gaetz that he would have him back on his show a year later to take an “enormous victory lap,” if the tax cuts pass and wages increase.
It appears as if Gaetz is lacing up his sneakers, tweeting to Hayes, “Be a man of your word. I’m free on Monday.”

After passing the president’s history tax reform measure last year, and now jobs and wages continuing an upward climb, Gaetz wants to cash in on Hayes’ “pledge.”
According to TrendingEconomics.com, “Wages in the United States increased 4.79 percent in August of 2018 over the same month in the previous year.”
Here is a chart showing how wages have increased over the past year or so:
