For years, Rep. Matt Gaetz (R) has kept his son out of the public eye,  and for good reason. But now after a Black Democratic member of Congress, Rep. Cedric Richmond played the race card against House Republicans on Wednesday, Gaetz had no choice but to introduce his son Nestor to the nation.

An offended Rep. Richmond acknowledged that he knows of "Republicans on the committee who "have Black grandchildren," but he added, "It is about Black males, Black people in the streets that are getting killed, and if one of them happens to be your kid, I am concerned about them, too. And clearly I am more concerned about him than you are."

"I appreciate your passion," Gaetz interrupted. "Are you suggesting none of us have non-white children?"

After Gaetz questioned Richmond, the Louisiana congressman quickly and angrily took back the remainder of his time to speak.

Enter Nestor.

Gaetz posted a picture of his son Nestor, who is of mixed race and from Cuba.

Wait, What!? Does Gaetz speak Espanol? You betcha!

"Nestor turned 19 a few days ago & will be off to University," tweeted Gaetz "He arrived here at 12. As you can imagine, I was triggered when (to make an absurd debate point) a fellow congressman diminished the contributions of Republicans because we don’t raise non-white kids."

This could be the last time that Richmond and others try to play that card again.

Gaetz recently told The Floridian that the reason no one really knew about his son was that he didn't want him subjected to Democratic Party criticism and extremist assault. We respected his wishes to not write about Nestor.

These same Democrats/Twitter trolls have called Gaetz an outright racist.
