The House of Representatives has passed the so-called "big beautiful bill" by a narrow margin on strict party lines, with 215 votes in favor and 214 votes against it. Representative Jimmy Patronis (R-FL) lauded its passage in a statement, saying, "This ‘One, Big, Beautiful Bill’ is a win for every hardworking American. Better days are ahead."

"Thanks to the incredible leadership of Speaker Johnson and President Trump, the ‘One, Big, Beautiful Bill’ Act will cement into law tax cuts for Americans across the board, hold the federal government accountable through fiscal responsibility, strengthen our borders to keep Americans safe, and provide a real chance for folks to work, raise a family, and live the American dream," said Rep. Patronis (R-FL) added. " I’m proud to have supported this historic legislation alongside my colleagues in the House and encourage its quick passage in the Senate. This ‘One, Big, Beautiful Bill’ is a win for every hardworking American. Better days are ahead."

As Fox News described, Democrats uniformly voted against the new budget plan, while nearly all Republicans likewise voted in favor, save for Representatives Thomas Massie (R-KY) and Warren Davidson (R-OH). House Freedom Caucus Chair Andy Harris (R-MD) voted "present."
