Trump Appoints Sen. Joe Gruters to Homeland Security Advisory Council

President Donald Trump recently announced Sen. Joe Gruters (R-Sarasota) will serve on the revamped Homeland Security Advisory Council (HSAC), which will create strategies to help secure the U.S. border, deport illegal aliens, and stem the flow of drugs coming into the United States.

"Thank you, President Trump, for the opportunity to serve on the Homeland Security Advisory Council," Gruters said. "I’m honored to help advance the President’s agenda and contribute to the safety and security of our great nation. Ready to get to work!"

Sen. Gruters was also tapped as Trump's pick to become Florida's next Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to replace Jimmy Patronis. Along with Gruters, Trump announced that the following would serve on the team.
  • South Carolina Gov. Henry McMaster
  • Fox News Host Mark Levin
  • ex-NYPD detective Bo Dietl

Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem is in charge of HSAC.

"I am proud to announce the formation of my revamped Homeland Security Council (HSAC), which is comprised of Top Experts in their field, who are highly respected by their peers," Trump said on Truth Social. It is a big honor to serve on HSAC, and I know the new members, South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster, Mark Levin, Bo Dietl, and Joseph Gruters, will do an incredible job."

"Under Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem's leadership, HSAC will work hard on developing new Policies and Strategies that will help secure our border, deport Illegal Criminal Thugs, stop the flow of Fentanyl and other illegal drugs that our killing our Citizens, and MAKE AMERICA SAFE AGAIN. Congratulations to all!" Trump added.
