Donalds' extensive experience, unwavering principles, and alignment with the America First agenda position him as an exceptional choice to lead Florida into a prosperous future.
Byron Donalds has consistently demonstrated a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities within Florida's business environment. His tenure in both the Florida legislature and the U.S. Congress has been marked by initiatives aimed at fostering economic growth and supporting entrepreneurs. Notably, Donalds was honored as the 2024 Federal Lawmaker of the Year by the Florida Credit Union Association, recognizing his dedication to policies that empower local businesses and financial institutions.
Moreover, Donalds has actively engaged with minority-owned businesses, ensuring that all entrepreneurs have a voice in shaping policies that affect them. His commitment was evident when he connected with Black small business owners in his district to gather insights for post-COVID-19 economic recovery strategies. With regards to Jewish related issues, Byron’s dedication to the Jewish community and the State of Israel is unwavering. He has consistently condemned anti-Semitism and stood in solidarity with Jewish Americans. In a statement last year, Byron expressed his unwavering support saying: “I remain steadfast in my support of the State of Israel and my Jewish neighbors across our Southwest Florida community, the Sunshine State, and the nation.”
His legislative actions mirror this commitment. Donalds co-sponsored H.Res.409, a resolution condemning acts of terrorism committed by Iranian military proxies against Israel. Additionally, he has called for the release of American hostages held by Hamas, highlighting his proactive stance on international human rights issues. Donalds' support extends to celebrating Israel's milestones. On Israel's 76th independence anniversary, he praised the nation as a "beacon of hope, freedom, and democracy," reflecting his deep respect and admiration for its achievements.
Before his tenure in Congress, Byron served in the Florida House of Representatives, providing him with invaluable insights into the state's legislative processes. This experience equips him with the knowledge to navigate complex policy landscapes effectively.
