Donalds Expresses 'Disgust of Every American' After DOGE Reveals Extent of Illegal Alien Benefits

Share

Representative Byron Donalds (R-FL) recently said he felt "the disgust every American has" after Elon Musk's Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) uncovered the extent of benefits given to illegal aliens on Fox Business's Evening Edit.

DOGE leaders Musk and Antonio Gracias recently demonstrated that millions of illegal aliens received Social Security numbers during a town hall in Wisconsin. As a result of these Social Security numbers, aliens could potentially receive government benefits and register to vote.

In response, Rep. Donalds said, "My reaction is the disgust that every American has because we knew that what Joe Biden and Kamala Harris and the left were doing in the darkness of night was shoving illegal immigrants into every role possible, whether it be entitlements or voting rolls across the country."

"Now we have proof," Rep. Donalds continued, adding, "So the responsibility now falls to Congress to make sure this does not happen again and to get these people off of these programs. We are already running a deficit this year of $1.8 trillion, and so it is the responsibility of every Republican on Capitol Hill, and yes, Democrats on Capitol Hill, to do what is right, to make sure that these programs are for the American people and the American people alone. And anybody in the country illegally? They need to go home. It is that simple."

Host Elizabeth MacDonald noted that DOGE outlined the potential benefits illegal aliens could receive with Social Security numbers, including child and earned income tax credits, Medicaid, Medicare, and unemployment benefits.

"We already have problems with fraud inside these issues already; what do you think?" MacDonald asked the Florida Congressman.

"That is absolutely correct," Donalds answered. "When you have a Social Security number assigned to you, you can weave your way in and out of all these other programs. And what is worse is that typically, when you qualify for one, you qualify for all. And so, what we have to do [is] you have got to have eligibility checks that are more robust than what we have right now. That is something that must occur in budget reconciliation. The American people and the future of our finances deserve nothing less."
