Mast Praises Trump's Self-Deportation App, 'Made His Message Clear to Illegal Immigrants'

Representative Brian Mast (R-FL) praised President Donald Trump's retooling of the CBP One app into CBP Home in a recent blog post, saying, "The days of our border being overrun by criminal illegal aliens have come to an end."

The Department of Homeland Security recently announced that the controversial CBP One app, which allowed illegal aliens to file asylum claims remotely and be paroled into the United States, has been retooled into the CBP Home app.

CBP Home allows illegal aliens paroled into the United States under the Biden Administration to submit an intent to depart the country and provide information proving they have left.

Fox News noted that illegal aliens who choose to self-deport through the CBP Home app will be allowed to re-enter the United States legally, but aliens detained by law enforcement will be permanently banned from re-entry.

"The CBP Home App gives aliens the option to leave now and self-deport, so they may still have the opportunity to return legally in the future and live the American dream. If they don't, we will find them, we will deport them, and they will never return," said Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem.

Rep. Mast had nothing but good words to say about the new app in his blog: "President Trump has made his message clear to all illegal immigrants: leave now on your own, and you may get the chance to return, but force law enforcement to remove you and you will never be allowed to come back."

"The days of our border being overrun by criminal illegal aliens have come to an end. Under President Trump, we have the most secure border we have seen in 25 years, and we aren't taking our foot off the gas," Rep. Mast continued, further suggesting that "Ultimately, self-deportation is the safest option for illegal aliens, preserves law enforcement resources, and saves U.S. taxpayer dollars."

The Florida Congressman concluded the blog post by vowing to continue upholding the Trump immigration enforcement agenda "because if we do not have secure borders, we do not have a country."
