Scott says Democrats are in 'Stages of Loss' Amidst DOGE Spotlight

Share

Senator Rick Scott (R-FL) appeared on Fox Business to share his thoughts on the latest development with Elon Musk's Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), a new federal entity designed to purge wasteful spending.

However, this has led Democrats to question the motives of Musk and DOGE as the left side of the aisle has demanded more transparency within the department.

"I think the Democrats are in the stages of a loss," said Sen. Scott. "It's either they're in the grief stage or the anger stage. But they don't understand that Donald Trump won the presidency, and part of the reason he won is all the Democrats' foolish decisions. He won because he committed to make government accountable and transparent. That's exactly what he's doing. That's exactly what Elon Musk is doing. And they're frustrated that this is happening."

Furthermore, Sen. Scott shared that as someone that came from the private sector, it requires meticulous attention to detail in order to maintain efficiency, especially in an environment such as the federal government like DOGE is attempting to replicate.

"The amount of waste is staggering. I'm a business guy. You did this constantly if you want to have a successful business. I became governor of Florida, January 2011. We went, line by line through the budget, 4000 lines of budget. We said, if it's not meeting its purpose, we're going to stop spending the money. That's exactly what you as a taxpayer, want them to do," said Scott.

Finally the former Florida governor gave a resounding endorsement of President Donald Trump (R) and Elon Musk as they continue their DOGE mission.

"So, Elon Musk is doing a great job. Donald Trump is doing a great job, and the Democrats cannot believe that this that all their all their failure, all their fraud, all their waste is being exposed and it's going away," concluded Scott.

President Trump created the Department of Government Efficiency on January 20, his first day of his second term in the Oval Office.
