Rep. Tom Fabricio appointed Vice Chair of Ways & Means Committee

MIAMI LAKES, Fla. - Rep. Tom Fabricio, R-Miami Lakes, thanked House Speaker Daniel "Danny" Perez, R-Miami, on Wednesday for appointing him as Vice Chair of the Ways & Means Committee and Alternating Chair of the Joint Select Committee on Collective Bargaining for the upcoming 2025 legislative session.

"Grateful to Speaker Daniel Perez for appointing me as Vice Chair of the Ways & Means Committee and Alternating Chair of the Joint Select Committee on Collective Bargaining, along with other key committees," Fabricio said. "Honored to serve Florida and work on policies that make a difference!"

In his announcement, Fabricio also listed his other committee, subcommittee, and special committee assignments.

Fabricio represents House District 110, which includes part of Miami-Dade County. The area specifically encompasses Miami Lakes, Hialeah, Palm Springs North, Country Club of Miami, and other parts of unincorporated Miami-Dade County.

In the 2024 HD 110 general election, Fabricio easily defeated Democratic candidate Stanley Jean-Poix with over 70% of the vote.

He also won HD 110 after the general election was canceled in 2022. His current term ends in November 2026.

Previously, Fabricio represented House District 103 where he defeated Democratic candidate Cindy Polo with 54 percent of the vote in 2020.

A Miami native, Fabricio is an attorney at The Fabricio Law Firm, P.A. in Miami Lakes with a focus on civil and commercial litigation, insurance litigation, and real estate transactions. His bio notes having a "reputation for delivering results in high-stakes legal battles."

Before opening his practice, Fabricio worked as an associate attorney at Walton Lantaff Schroeder & Carson, LLP in Fort Lauderdale.

Fabricio also is a member of the Florida State Guard, where he holds the rank of Captain (O3). In addition, he served on the Broward County Charter Review Commission and other county and municipal advisory boards.

Before politics, Fabricio graduated with a bachelor's degree in Political Science and English Literature from Marymount College in 2005. He also earned his Juris Doctor from the Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad Law Center in 2008.

The 2025 legislative session is set to begin on March 4 and end on May 2.
