Congressional Shake-Up in Florida
After President Donald Trump tapped Reps. Matt Gaetz and Michael Waltz to lead his incoming administration, the two congressional vacancies that were created threw Florida politics into unchartered political waters, but that stir-up was short-lived because the President-elect endorsed two candidates in those respective districts and ended the drama.
But is the drama over, and could there still be a shake-up in the razor-thin Republican majority in the House of Representatives?
The Floridian has learned that President Trump could be on the verge of nominating one or two more members of Florida's Republican Caucus in the House to his administration.
Without mentioning who these members of Congress are, the two congressional seats that could open up may be addressed within the next few weeks.
Congress is in session until December 30, and from what we have learned, the decision could solely be up to Speaker Mike Johnson.
Let's just say that as the House committee musical chairs game plays out, the last man standing in the process could be scooped up by Team Trump.
Stay tuned...
Rick Scott-As a father & a grandfather, I can understand the desire to make life better for your children & grandchildren.
When you take an oath to be the President of the United States, you are no longer just a father or grandfather & cannot put the desire to help your children above the requirement to ensure all Americans are held to the same standards under the law. That was Biden’s duty & obligation, but he has again failed, deepening the distrust Americans feel toward our government. Our country deserves better & that work will begin on Jan. 20th when President Trump takes office.
